We are so happy and proud to announce that today is the 20^th anniversary of the inception of our little hotel, Villa Belmonte! What an amazing ride we have had and still are having! There have been many ups and downs, but looking back, I would still have done the same: find a beautiful period house in a great location, somehow find the money to finance it, carefully reconstruct it, renovate it, furbish it, and start business on 2 January 1992. We took it from an upmarket guest house to a 5 star boutique hotel in 10 years. I congratulate Tabea, my lovely wife, without whose extraordinary effort, Villa Belmonte would not have seen the light of day.

We should have written a book or make a movie. Would be a best seller. Maybe we will still do it!

It must be noted that Villa Belmonte’s logo is real – not contrived! We took the original logo from the 109 year old motifs on the original walls and made it our best seller!
